Ethan originally volunteered to tutor a student struggling with Chemistry. He worked with the student 2-4 times per week for at least an hour each session for the entire semester. Under Ethan’s tutelage, the student passed Chemistry, and he and his parents were relieved and grateful as this was the student’s second attempt at the course. After this, Ethan continued to volunteer and worked closely with multiple students in English 1 in an in-class setting as well as in the tutoring center. He is understanding, compassionate, energetic, and positive. Ethan won’t let a student give up, and he finds innovative ways to help students understand complex concepts. He has a knack for motivating the unmotivated and helping students enjoy learning!

Ethan Diana was a student tutor for my English 9 class this year. He is an exceptional leader, motivator, and guide for students who struggle with coursework. Whether it is a lack of motivation or a lack of understanding, Ethan provides the individual direction and encouragement students need to be successful. In my classroom, Ethan was able to identify students who needed support, identify the specific support they needed and relate to the students in a peer to peer way, leading them to success. Not only was Ethan successful in motivating and supporting students in my classroom, but he also decided he wanted to be a leader in our student to student tutoring program. Ethan excels in academic achievement, motivation, and community engagement. He models all the behaviors we desire in a successful young adult. I highly recommend Ethan as an academic resource!
